Billing
If I am a participating provider with your insurance then I will be submitting all of your claims. Prior to your first visit it is important for you to obtain any pre-authorizations and find out what your mental health benefits are, these may be different then your medical benefits (also including being a different carrier that manages your mental health). If provider updates are required by your insurance I will provide these, but all other future authorizations will be your responsibility.Also, what is deemed your responsibility by your insurance company is due at the time of your session (only cash and check are accepted). I ask that you please understand the importance of keeping clear financial boundaries. By having my clients make prompts payments, it allows me to continue with maintaining a small private practice and provide the individualized service that I prefer to offer.
It is also important to note that if accounts are not paid in full after thirty days I reserve the right to send the account to collections. All fees associated with this will be the client's responsibility.
